The TUG Banner Ad program has become one of the best and most cost effective advertising sources for timeshare related businesses. The TUG website has become the most active timeshare site on the Internet generating more than 250,000 hits per DAY!!! Now you can access that advertising potential by using our TUG Banner Ad Program.
Our ad program is designed so that all banners are equal and are randomly rotated throughout our site to generate the number of impressions purchased per level. This lets you determine the amount of advertising exposure you would like on TUG and order the level you need to create that exposure. The Bronze Level would generate 7500 impressions per quarter, the Silver Level generates 15000 impressions per quarter, the Gold Level provides 25,000 quarterly impressions while the Platinum Level is 90,000 quarterly impressions. You may request multiple banners, they can either be the same or several different banners linked directly to your home web page ( or any other web page you select ). To clarify as some internet sites muddle the terms impression, hit, page view, etc etc. When we mention you will get 90,000 impressions, we mean your banner will appear on 90,000 different pages loaded by someone visiting our site each month. 1 page view to us equals 1 page view, not 1 page vew equals the number of "hits" that page generates by the users web browser having to download 100 different items from the page. Rest assured you are getting what you pay for!
Our advertising fees are listed below for each Banner Level. (note Google AdWords currently charges more than $1.00 per click for the "Timeshare Users Group" Keyword!). This also includes both a direct linking of the banner ad and a listing in either this Business Ad page or the Resorts Ad page.
Many of our main web pages currently have banners, including the home page, Review and Ranking cover pages, Resort and Business ad pages, Top Ten Resorts page, Owners Promo page, For Sale & For Rent Classified ad pages plus others.
Banner Ads size requirements are currently 468 x 60 and less than 25k banner pic in gif format. This is the same size requirement as most current Internet banners. No Java Banner allowed at present. Animated banners are ok as long as they are gif and less than 25k in size.

*Note that all existing banner advertisers prior to July 2006 will be allowed to maintain their existing banner advertising program as long as they wish, any changes to your existing banner ad program will require you to choose one of the new plans!

What is a banner GIF?
Your

How do I create a
banner?
You
can create your banner just as you would any other image for your Web
page. Use a graphic design program such as PhotoShop or Paint Shop Pro
to make your banner. Then save it as a GIF. For more information,

What
are the requirements for the banner GIF?
All
banner GIF's must be 468 pixels wide by 60 pixels high and less than
25K in file size .
My
paint program does not show measurements in pixels, what are pixels
in inches?
At
a resolution of 72 dpi (dots per inch) a banner size 468x60 would be
6.5 by .833 inches
Is
it okay if I create a JPEG or use some other graphic format instead?
No.

My
banner isn't saved in GIF format, how do I change it?
There
are several programs that offer a GIF file format. The easiest one to
use is Paint Shop Pro. Just open your banner image in PSP and resave it
as -- GIF. If you are using PhotoShop, you need to 'Export' the image
to an 89a GIF format or reduce the 'Indexed Color' to
256 colors.
How
do I check my file size?
On
a Mac desktop, select the file and choose "get info" from the file
menu. If the file is smaller than 25k you're home free! On
the PC, checking the 'properties' of the file will give you the same
info (you can also check the size at the DOS prompt). If you need to
reduce the file size of your banner to 25k or less, try the online
website of http://www.netmechanic.com/accelerate.htm. Their gif bot
program does an excellent job and provides you with many samples of
your banner to choose from.
Unfortunately, while I can create a Web page, I do not have the ability to create a GIF file, what should I do?
There
are 2 very simple online web programs that allow you to create your own
