Anything not in the contract you signed that may or may not have been promised to you by the salesman simply doesn't apply!

Another very common ploy is to claim some "new law" was recently signed into effect that somehow allows you as an owner to qualify for a cancellation of your contract if "a" , "b", or "c" applies to your situation (and of course, one of those examples will match your situation exactly kinda like a Horoscope!). These schemes will play to your own anger and frustration at the timeshare for being misled (or lied to) and that they are willing and able to fight them on your behalf to end your ownership!

All of this sound fantastic right? Right up until they point out that in order for them to start the "cancellation process" or whatever it may be called, you will need to pay them upfront to the tune of hundreds if not thousands of dollars!

Even if you scoff at the amount they quote, they will respond with wild multiples of your maintenance fees explaining how much cheaper it is for you to pay them to "cancel your timeshare" than for you to continue to pay those fees to make it seem like you would be foolish not to pay for their help! "It would cost you more NOT to do it!"

Just what do you think will happen if you stop replying to anything from your resort (including the annual fee statements)? Thats right, the resort will eventually take action and make efforts to collect unpaid dues as well as recover the deed/ownership back from you! But thats what you wanted in the first place, so this is actually considered a success by the Timeshare Exit company because after all, your goal was to cancel your timeshare and goal achieved!
